Due to the nature of this role you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
What you will be doing:
Initially supporting the delivery oftheoretical andpracticalmarine firefightingtraininginstruction
Once qualified you will become an Instructor carrying out the training directly
Acting asSafetyOfficerfor practicalfirefighting training
Acting asthe Control Room Operator monitoring safety systems andcontrolling thefire compartment settings and parameters.
Ensuring all training equipment training areasand classrooms arecorrectly preparedprior touse
Providing First Aid response (training provided)
Ensuring healthsafety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with.
Maintaining documentation test and calibration records.
What were looking for:
Essential Skills:
Previous experience within Navy or Fire Service (ideally Royal Navy)
Goodcommunication skills both verbal and written
Team player
Physically fit and able to wear Breathing Apparatus and work in extremely hot conditions
Proficiency in using IT within the workplace.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience/knowledge of submarines
