Training Support Co-ordinator (Navy Firefighting Unit)

What you will be doing:

• Initially supporting the delivery oftheoretical andpracticalmarine firefightingtraininginstruction

• Once qualified you will become an Instructor carrying out the training directly

• Acting asSafetyOfficerfor practicalfirefighting training

• Acting asthe Control Room Operator monitoring safety systems andcontrolling thefire compartment settings and parameters.

• Ensuring all training equipment training areasand classrooms arecorrectly preparedprior touse

• Providing First Aid response (training provided)

• Ensuring healthsafety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with.

• Maintaining documentation test and calibration records.

What were looking for:

Essential Skills:

• Previous experience within Navy or Fire Service (ideally Royal Navy)

• Goodcommunication skills both verbal and written

• Team player

• Physically fit and able to wear Breathing Apparatus and work in extremely hot conditions

• Proficiency in using IT within the workplace.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience/knowledge of submarines
