Job Summary

  • Temporary full-time opportunity until 7th September 2026 with strong potential for extension
  • Location: Tamworth
  • Salary ranges from $129464 to $142665pa. plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

As theTraining Service Manageryou will lead a high-performing regional team delivering vocational education and training (VET) services funded programs and employment initiatives across the region. This role requires a strategic thinker and strong communicator with the capability to build and maintain partnerships across government community education providers and industry stakeholders.

Youll be the driving force behind operational excellence stakeholder engagement and staff developmentensuring that programs meet regulatory and contractual obligations while improving training access and outcomes in your region.

In this role you will

  • Lead Regional Centre staff and allocate resources to support customer service and training outcomes
  • Build stakeholder and community relationships to increase training and employment participation
  • Oversee compliance across employers students and Registered Training Organisations
  • Liaise with government industry and community stakeholders to support vocational education outcomes
  • Prepare reports support staff capability and provide advice on industry skill needs

About you

  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to have courageous and constructive conversations
  • Resilient self-directed and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage diverse tasks
  • A high level of professionalism and the ability to influence positive behaviour and practices
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
  • Knowledge of the apprenticeship and VET system is advantageous but not essential
  • Committed to delivering high-quality support services and achieving positive outcomes
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the DepartmentsAboriginal Education Policyand upholding theDepartments Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECGand to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
  • Current and Valid Drivers Licence and willingness to travel
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
