Training & Product Specialist

Were looking for someone to join SchemeServe in a hybrid training and product building role.

Your primary focus will be training and enablement - helping our clients understand SchemeServe become confident using the platform and learn how to build and manage their own insurance products.

Alongside training youll work on building and configuring insurance products for our clients using SchemeServe. This gives you practical hands-on experience of the platform and the same product-building processes that youll be teaching to customers.

The balance will flex depending on demand. Some weeks may be heavily focused on client training while others may involve more time working on client product builds more independently.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys technology problem-solving and working with people.

Training & Client Enablement

• Deliver engaging client training sessions covering SchemeServe and its functionality.
• Train customers to build and manage their own insurance products using SchemeServe.
• Provide targeted training when clients need help with specific areas of the platform.
• Deliver internal training and support the onboarding of SchemeServe employees.
• Create and maintain Help Guides training videos tutorials and other learning resources.
• Organise and host webinars covering SchemeServe functionality and best practice.
• Identify recurring knowledge gaps and turn them into useful training or self-service resources.
• Help clients become increasingly self-sufficient when using SchemeServe.

Insurance Product Building

Alongside training youll work on client projects to help build and configure insurance products on SchemeServe.

This could include:

• Building new insurance products on SchemeServe.
• Translating underwriting guides and product specifications into working products.
• Configuring question sets rules documents and other product functionality.
• Building and maintaining rating using Excel.
• Testing products and checking they behave as expected.
• Supporting changes and updates to existing products.
• Working with clients and internal teams to understand product requirements.
• Troubleshooting configuration issues and finding practical solutions.

You do not need to be a software developer. The role is about understanding insurance products learning SchemeServe and using the platform to turn requirements into working products.

One day you might be:

• Delivering training to a broker learning how to build their first insurance product.
• Creating a new Help Guide or training video.
• Running a webinar for SchemeServe customers.

Another day you might be:

• Reviewing an underwriting guide for a new product.
• Building a question set or rating file.
• Testing a product before launch.
• Working with colleagues on a client product build.

The two areas naturally complement each other. Building products gives you first-hand experience of the challenges our clients encounter while training clients gives you insight into how we can make SchemeServe and our product-building processes easier to understand.

• Enjoy teaching and sharing knowledge - you get satisfaction from helping someone understand something new.

• Enjoy problem-solving - youd rather investigate and find a solution than simply follow a checklist.
• Are comfortable with technology - you dont need to be a developer but youre confident learning and using digital tools.
• Can communicate clearly - whether youre running a training session talking to a client or writing a Help Guide.
• Are self-motivated and dependable - youre comfortable managing your own workload in a remote environment.
• Work swiftly while maintaining attention to detail.
• Are willing to challenge the norm and suggest better ways of doing things.

• Experience in training (preferably in SaaS or insurance).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Comfortable working directly with clients.
• Good general computer skills including confidence using Excel.
• An interest in learning how insurance products are configured and built.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across different teams.
• UK-based although the position is fully remote.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience delivering training onboarding or demonstrations.
• Experience using insurance software or SaaS platforms.
• Experience configuring insurance products schemes or rating.
• Experience as an underwriter broker configuration analyst or business/systems analyst.
• Experience creating training materials videos or documentation.
