We are seeking Traffic Management Operatives for on-goingwork who can work on their own initiative are able to work flexibly (days/nights/weekends) as and when required. As with any traffic management role Operatives are regularly tested for drug and alcohol levels.
Rate of Pay:
Up to 21.29 per hour depending on experience/qualifications
Hours of work:
Day Shifts
Night Shifts
Weekend Shifts
Start date: August 2026

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Installing and Dismantling Schemes: Preparing deploying and removing cones temporary warning signs and barriers in accordance with legal codes of practice.
Traffic Control: Operating manual Stop/Go boards managing temporary multi-phase traffic lights and safely redirecting vehicles and pedestrians.
Equipment Maintenance: Routinely checking and maintaining equipment adjacent to live traffic lanes. This includes cleaning signs replacing batteries or fuel for traffic light systems and ensuring signage has enough ballast to withstand adverse weather.
Safety & Hazard Monitoring: Ensuring the safety of workers and pedestrians by enforcing strict health and safety procedures and monitoring for changing conditions.
Emergency Response: Responding quickly to traffic accidents hazards or incidents on-site managing diversions and clearing the carriageway safely.
Site Documentation & Liaison: Communicating with colleagues the public and stakeholders (such as local councils or emergency services) and maintaining task documentation.
MUST be drug and alcohol free
Lantra accreditation (TTMBC minimum)
UK driving license required (must have been driving for 2 years minimum)
