Traffic Engineering Lead 6 Month Contract
Location: Dudley
Rate: 250.00 per day (Umbrella)
Contract: 6 Month Contract
Pay: Bi-Weekly
Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Traffic Engineering Lead to spearhead the execution of traffic management road safety and Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) initiatives within a Local Authority highways team. This role involves managing a small team ensuring successful project delivery offering technical guidance to senior stakeholders and contributing to the formulation of traffic management strategies and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct traffic management and road safety initiatives.
- Oversee the administration of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs).
- Evaluate collision and traffic data to formulate work programs.
- Provide expert technical advice to senior officers and elected officials.
- Oversee project budgets assess risks and monitor contractor performance.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports.
- Act as a deputy for the Traffic Group Manager when necessary.
- Represent the Local Authority in regional and technical meetings.

- Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and report writing.
- Possession of a full UK Driving Licence.
