Job Summary

What will you be doing 

Were seeking a talented individual to join our team in Glasgow which is responsible for performing all daily duties associated with the COO Assurance function ensuring work is completed accurately and on time while adhering to all controls regulatory guidelines and procedures relevant to team functions.

As Technical Specialist COO Assurance your responsibilities will include among others:

  • Coordination of audits (both internal and external - eg. AAF HMRC CASS) and the tracking of associated actions.
  • COO error tracking - ensuring all actions are completed in a timely manner and the risk event system is updated appropriately with any profit / loss information.
  • COO error investigation & COO complaint investigation and tracking of any actions to prevent future reoccurrence.
  • Ensuring all colleagues across the business have an appropriate level of access to internal systems as well as the external custodial platforms.
  • Monitoring and maintenance of the COO Risk & Control Matrices (RACM) and COO Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
  • COO process reviews / deep dives to ensure controls within the COO teams remain adequate and robust.

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you should:

  • Experience gained within a financial services institution especially in Operations is advantageous but not essential.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Minimum basic level Word and intermediate level Excel.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills are essential with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences.
  • Demonstrate ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail while organising workloads effectively and meeting tight deadlines.

Desired:

  • Relevant professional qualification(s) desirable e.g. CISI Investment Operations Certificate / CISI Investment Advice Diploma
