Technical Services Manger required to support change and growth to an already successful business.


This key positionreports directly to theSenior Facilities Managerwithdirect line management responsibility for theday and shiftengineering team and is accountable for the effective people management of this team on the account.

As the post holder you will be expected to have a detailedtechnicalunderstanding ofallinstalledMEPsystems contingency procedures and be proactive incoachingother members ofyour teamto ensure capability is consistent within the also be expected to become familiar withallaspects of the administrativerequirements of the contract and Integral/JLL process & procedures.

Working closely with theengineering teamtheTSMwillbe responsible forthe deliveryof allday-to-daycritical asset & System management includingsupporting projects and contractors planned and reactive MEP works and act as the technical support functionfor the team during these works. TheTSMwill provide robust leadership of the team motivating and driving theteam to exceed expectations in customer service and operational excellence.

You will ensure that the conduct of any personnel under your control is safeprofessionaland conscientious. Youwillalsobe requiredto attend site meetings with the client as a Health and Safety lead culture throughout the team on the account with your experience and knowledge of safe systems of worksandcompliance.

Working closely with theAccount Teamto achieve 100% Critical Facilities Uptime. TheTSMwill be responsible in ensure that the engineering teams work together to achieve the required standards of Critical FacilitiesRisk Management and Operational Compliance.


Duties to include:

Supervisecoordinateandleadthesite-based engineering team indelivering the JLL SOW.

Operate all systems within thefacilityin a competenteffectiveand efficient manner. Making recommendations for improvement and providing concise technical reports whenrequired.

The controlofall activities relating to the technical and efficient operation of the installed building systems including all MEP assets and compliance with statutory regulations.

Working closely with theengineeringteamyou should ensure that for SpecialistVendorsvisits havebeenprepared and approvedby the site FMs.

To provide backup asengineeringrelief coverin the event ofan emergency which may require temporary Shift working.

Attend weekly operations meetings client meetings as requested.

Managethe Monthly and Quarterly Engineering Report ensuring thatsignificant eventsor activitiesare noted.

Prepare information to be included in theIntegral/JLLmonthly/ KPIreports.

Ensure the asset database are correct and up to dateincluding within the CAFM System.

Tomonitorutilities usage and report to the client on any abnormalities or energy savings.

Compilation of control of engineering risk register and report on critical systems availability/asset reliability.

Review of engineering competency skillsgapsand future training ensure contract is staffed by competent teams ensuring post holders are fully competent and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place.

Management of onsite critical sparesincludingmaintainingsite stock registerand monthly auditing.

Compilation of critical incident(2-2-2)& near miss reporting andafter-actionreviewsfor any critical incident.

Ensure all critical equipment operational issues are brought to the Customers attentionimmediatelyand provide all relevant reports withrecommendations.

Ensure all technical / legislative updates are effectively communicated and implemented by the engineeringteam.

Maintain minimum levels of resourcing onsitearranging suitable shift covers/resources whenrequired. (Including ONWH support of critical works)

Active participation in the site escalation process including on-call and supportin the event ofemergency response requirements.

People Management Preform appraisals for direct reports and set clearobjectivesfor individuals within the admin i.e. sickness & RTW investigations.

Proactivelypromotea Safety Firstculture in linewith the JLL Cardinal Rules of Safety are adhered to by all engineering teams.

Debit & WIP review and updates.

PersonalSpecification:

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience inCritical Environments such as Banking HQ and Data Centres.

C&G Pts. 1 & 2 equivalent or exceeds.

18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation.

HV/LV AP.

C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspectiontestingand certification.

Strong communicationskills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.

Ability to lead motivate and directteamsofengineers and supervisors.

Financial knowledge for Debit & WIP Reports.

Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.

Have good IT and report writing skills.

Ability to work under pressure whilstremainingcalm clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.

Individuals who candemonstratecommitment andpreviousexperience; but not meet all the required technical qualifications may be considered subject toOperations Directorsapproval.

Demonstrate a willingness to attend on andoff-sitetraining forMEP assets thismay require nights away from home due to the nature of the specialist training such as HV Authorised Person Training

A high levelof initiative with drive to continuously improve the operation.
