About the role.

You will be based at our Scarborough plant in North Yorkshire. We opened this plant back in the swinging sixties but its definitely not stuck in the past. Our team of over 300 colleagues work hard to make sure the quality of our products keep our customers returning for more for now and years to come!

About the team.

Youll be joining a team of eight dedicated colleagues! Being a small team everyone pulls together covers for one another and takes real ownership of making sure the process runs smoothly from start to finish

What youll be doing.

• Operating bagging metal detection and packing of jacket potatoes
• Working flexibly across up to 5 different areas of the production line
• Operating machinery efficiently in line with company standards dont worry full training will be provided for all areas of the role!
• Identifying and reporting any issues or problems promptly as they arise
• Ensure product meets agreed quality standards and proactively identify any issues that might lead to negative customer feedback.
• Complete associated QA/QC checks and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with the shift and area management teams flagging any issues promptly.

What youll need to be successful.

• You will have experience working in a fast-paced high-volume environment with the ability to meet targets and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Experience within FMCG or food manufacturing is highly desirable along with previous shift-working experience. The Scarborough site operates a Panama shift pattern so flexibility is essential.
• You take ownership of your work carrying out quality checks identifying issues and taking appropriate action using your own initiative.
• Strong written and verbal English skills are essential as the role involves completing production records and following documented procedures accurately.
• Experience in QA QC or quality checking is advantageous. Skills in inspections monitoring standards and implementing corrective actions will be highly transferable to this role.
