OurTeam Leadershere at Change Grow Live play an integral role in ensuring an effective service provision for our service users by creating a focussed culture engaging staff to provide an innovative and continually improving service and provide leadership support and development to a wide range of staff.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our Halton service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team oversee our thriving community café champion volunteer and peer mentor development and support people on their recovery journey.
As a Team Leader you will provide visible leadership promote a positive and inclusive culture and ensure high-quality support and recovery-focused services are delivered across the service.

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
About the Role
Reporting to the Service Manager you will lead and support a diverse team of staff and volunteers ensuring the delivery of safe effective and person-centred services.
A key element of this role is the oversight of our well-established Kitchen Table Community Café in Widnes. You will line manage the Café Lead support volunteer recruitment and development and ensure the café remains a welcoming hub for service users and the wider community.
You will also play a lead role in promoting recovery opportunities community engagement and service user involvement.
- Provide operational leadership and line management to staff volunteers and peer mentors.
- Deliver supervision appraisal performance management and staff development.
- Foster a positive recovery-focused and service user-centred culture.
- Oversee the Kitchen Table Community Café and support the Café Lead in its day-to-day operation.
- Lead on the recruitment coordination and development of volunteers and peer mentors.
- Oversee delivery of CGL accredited Quality Licence Scheme (QLS) programmes .
- Promote meaningful service user involvement and co-production.
- Support individuals in recovery to access volunteering training education and employment opportunities.
- Coordinate recovery-focused activities and events including Recovery Month and Volunteer Week.
- Monitor service quality performance and outcomes driving continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partner agencies.
- Ensure effective safeguarding risk management health and safety and governance processes are maintained.
About you:
- Experience of working with Adults experiencing difficulties around substance use and multiple complexities.
- Excellent knowledge of drugs and alcohol and their effects.
- Line management experience
- The ability to lead empower and motivate a team.
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding policies and practices and experience of embedding these operationally.
- The ability to foster new partnerships and to maintain positive relationships with partner agencies.
- Knowledge of a range of psychosocial and evidence-based interventions around substance misuse.
- Knowledge and experience of community-based support/outreach practices.
- Ability to ensure all record keeping outcome monitoring and data collection is maintained effectively.
- Communicate confidently and effectively verbally and in writing.
- Respond flexibly to the demands of the post.
- The ability to keep calm under pressure.
- Show commitment to facilitating positive outcomes for Adults.
