Your new role
Are you a compliance risk or governance professional who thrives on identifying opportunities for improvement and influencing positive change This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for strengthening quality compliance and risk management practices across Uniting Housing & Property.
Working closely with senior leaders government bodies and internal stakeholders youll provide expert advice and guidance drive service improvement initiatives oversee regulatory reporting and foster a strong compliance culture across the organisation.
Your impact will include:
- Leading quality compliance and risk management initiatives across Housing.
- Monitoring and reporting against Victorian Housing Regulation and NRSCH requirements.
- Identifying organisational risks and implementing corrective actions.
- Providing expert compliance advice and influencing key stakeholders.
- Leading and developing a small team while promoting continuous improvement.
- Driving service improvement projects and strengthening governance frameworks.
- Overseeing audit activities compliance reporting and regulatory submissions.
This full-time ongoing role is based at either our Melbourne CBD or Blackburn office with flexible hybrid working arrangements available.

The Business Support & Compliance team plays a critical role in maintaining regulatory compliance quality assurance and risk management practices across the Housing portfolio. The team supports service excellence through governance reporting stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence organisational performance strengthen compliance capability and contribute to high-quality housing outcomes for the community.

Your skills and experience
Youre an experienced compliance risk or governance professional who can influence stakeholders identify organisational risks and drive continuous improvement within a complex regulatory environment.
You will bring with you:
- Demonstrated experience in compliance risk governance or policy advisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of legislative regulatory and quality assurance frameworks.
- Proven ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Experience influencing stakeholders and providing trusted advice to senior leaders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience developing and supporting high-performing teams.
