St Marys Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant (Grade 4) to join our team from 1st September 2026.

This role will be based in Key Stage 2 supporting pupils in the classroom including some support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEND). The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping pupils reach their full potential within a nurturing inclusive and faith-centred school.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within a Key Stage 2 classroom
• Provide some targeted support for pupils with additional needs including those with SEND
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe supportive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with staff parents and external agencies where required
• Uphold the Catholic ethos and values of the school

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience working with primary-aged children
• Has knowledge or experience of supporting children with special educational needs
• Is patient flexible and enthusiastic about supporting learning
• Has strong communication and teamwork skills
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Will support and contribute to the Catholic life of the school
