Kelsale CEVC Primary School is a unique Church of England Primary School situated at the heart of a rural community and close to Suffolks Heritage coast. We are extremely proud of our school and its reputation for inclusivity support of each childs individual needs and close work and support with families in need.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team. The role is likely to be based in two different classes from Year 1 to Year 3 (a day in each) however this is subject to change.

You will be an effective classroom practitioner who can motivate pupils and is committed to working in partnership with pupils staff and parents. You will be enthusiastic with high expectations of attainment achievement and behaviour with the understanding and ability to meet a wide range of pupil needs. You will be able to work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure the best possible education for our children.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • enjoys being part of a supportive team who thrive on collaboration and take a proactive role within it
  • is confident with a clear and consistent approach to behaviour management

  • has a good understanding of the curriculum and how this fits into the whole school picture
  • is able to plan creatively to invigorate and engage our learners responding to their needs
  • is able to work collaboratively with other class teachers to ensure consistency and continuity for pupils across the week
  • has a good understanding of learning behaviours and the ability to inspire a love of learning
  • has a good sense of humour and a positive outlook.

Meetings and INSET:You will be expected to attend staff meetings training and INSET days that fall on your working days. On occasion you may be asked to join staff sessions on other days; this would be remunerated and scheduled in advance.
