Blacon High School More than a school

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Art to join our creative and ambitious Technology Faculty from Autumn 2026 on a 0.6 contract.

The successful candidate will be a passionate classroom practitioner with the ability to deliver engaging and inspiring Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Experience of teaching GCSE AQA Art and Design: Fine Art is desirable alongside the flexibility and willingness to contribute more broadly within the Technology Faculty where required.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is committed to nurturing creativity developing students confidence and encouraging every young person to fulfil their potential. You will have the energy enthusiasm and commitment to make a real difference to students lives and to act as a positive role model within our school community.

We are looking for a teacher who:

Delivers high-quality engaging lessons that inspire students of all abilities;

Has strong subject knowledge in Art and Design;

Can contribute to a broad and ambitious curriculum;

Is committed to raising achievement and promoting excellent outcomes for students;

Works effectively as part of a collaborative team.
