Day-to-day management of the tax department including workflow team guidance and quality assurance
Preparation and submission of personal tax compliance for a varied client base (high-net-worth individuals entrepreneurs professionals)
Reviewing and overseeing the work of team members to ensure technical accuracy and compliance
Providing coaching mentoring and ongoing support to junior staff
Advising on complex personal tax issues (capital gains tax inheritance tax residency)
Maintaining strong client relationships through proactive advice and identification of advisory opportunities
Keeping up to date with personal tax legislation and HMRC requirements
Ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met efficiently and effectively
ATT qualified (minimum); CTA or equivalent experience highly desirable
At least 5 years UK accountancy practice experience in personal tax
Demonstrable experience managing a portfolio of clients and reviewing team output
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high professional standards
Confident communicator and effective team leader
Excellent organisational and workflow management skills
Comprehensive knowledge of personal tax compliance and advisory
Familiarity with HMRC requirements and evolving tax legislation
Experience with tax software and digital recordkeeping (desirable)
Hybrid working model (minimum 2 days per week in Lancaster office)
Salary: (DOE)
