Systems Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team developing innovative and technically complex products. This role offers the opportunity to work across the entire product development lifecycle helping to define develop integrate and validate cutting-edge systems from initial concept through to production release.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture analyse and manage system requirements from customer business and technical stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain system architectures technical specifications and interface definitions.
• Coordinate activities across electrical electronic software mechanical and testing teams to ensure successful system integration.
• Establish and manage requirements traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
• Define verification and validation strategies to demonstrate compliance with product requirements.
• Support design reviews risk assessments and technical decision-making activities.
• Contribute to product development from concept and design through testing validation and final release.
• Identify and resolve technical issues while ensuring product quality reliability and performance objectives are achieved.
• Support continuous improvement of systems engineering processes methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications :

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in Systems Engineering within a complex engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of the full product development lifecycle from concept development through to validation and release.
• Background in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience with requirements management traceability and verification & validation (V&V).
• Ability to define and manage system architectures interfaces and technical specifications.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles.
• Experience using requirements and systems engineering tools such as DOORS Jama Cameo or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with systems integration functional decomposition and product verification activities.
• Experience working within highly regulated or safety-critical engineering environments.
