Job Summary

Location: The Weald Sport Centre Cranbrook TN17 2PN
Hourly Rate: 13.57 plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Permanent Part-Time 15 hours per week plus additional teaching hours available from December 2026 to make up 40 hours per week. Typical shifts: Monday to Friday between 9am and 7pm Saturday & Sunday between 8am and 12pm. Shift times are flexible.

As Swimming Coordinator youll lead and develop a thriving swimming lesson programme that helps people of all ages build confidence in the water learn essential life skills and stay active. Youll work closely with colleagues customers schools and community partners to grow participation create innovative opportunities and ensure every swimmer receives a high-quality experience. What youll do as a Swimming Coordinator

  • Lead manage and develop a team of qualified Swimming Teachers including recruitment rotas performance and development
  • Coordinate and grow the swimming lessons programme introducing new sessions and courses to meet community needs
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of lessons that encourage retention and repeat participation
  • Build strong relationships with customers schools and local partners to support outreach and programme growth
  • Monitor performance through reporting and KPIs using insight to improve customer experience and business performance
  • Support operational delivery including stepping in to teach lessons where required to maintain service levels
  • Support with the marketing and promotion of the Swimming Lesson programme


Does this sound like you

  • Swim England Level 2 or STA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification
  • Experience managing or supervising teams within a leisure or aquatics environment
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build trust with customers
  • Experience delivering or managing swimming lesson programmes and working with high customer volumes
  • Confidence using IT systems and producing reports alongside good communication and organisational skills
