Surge Pool Lead

Position Role: Surge Pool Lead manages surge resources allowing flexible rapid deployment to meet demand and sustain core specialist and triage services

Responsibilities:

1. Lead SSAU surge capability ensuring flexible resources meet demand peaks and maintain service continuity across all SSAU functions.
2. Manage allocation and deployment of surge personnel across Core Specialist and Triage functions to meet operational priorities.
3. Maintain the readiness of surge resources through effective coordination crosstraining and workforce planning.
4. Coordinate closely with functional leads to prioritise surge support against emerging demand pressures and service risks.
5. Monitor surge utilisation and effectiveness providing feedback to inform workforce resilience planning and continuous improvement.
6. Provide direct support to core or specialist processing activity during nonsurge periods to maintain operational resilience.
7. Support the delivery of distributed training to parttime volunteer reserve AGC (SPS) personnel as required.
