The Role

As a Support Worker at CCP you will provide vital support to young people living in our supported accommodation home in Yate. This is a part-time position working 12.25 hour shifts 8am-8.15pm - 1 hour unpaid breakin our Accommodation Based Services team. These shifts will be arranged on a rota basis and will include weekend shifts.

What Youll Do

• Youll provide practical and emotional support to individuals living in Yate helping to promote a greater level of independence.
• Youll do this in a trauma-informed way (you will be thoroughly trained) and by building strong relationships with the individuals you support.
• Youll need to promote the rights and interests of the young people.
• Youll need to protect them from danger harm or abuse.
• It can be challenging however the rewards are amazing to see how your advice knowledge and guidance has such a positive impact on these young peoples lives.
• To be successful in this role youll need to be patient kind resilient and professional with a calm and caring approach.

^Annual Leave entitlement will be pro-rata for Part-time staff. Working on public holidays due to a rota pattern will be compensated with time off in lieu. An extra day of leave accrues for each completed financial year (capped at 5). Purchasing additional holidays is capped at 5 per year.

^^Contracted staff only. Business mileage (55p a mile) is paid for any daily miles over and above the distance from your home to the allocated workplace location and back. Youll need awell-maintained vehicle with valid tax MOT andInsurance covering business use.
