Stirling is home to a vibrant energetic and engaged New Scots community. The Resettlement Team supports that community helping people make the most of the skills they bring and the opportunities Stirling offers.

The team delivers the Afghan Resettlement Programme the UK Resettlement Scheme Asylum Dispersal and the Ukraine programmes within Stirling Council. We provide integration support through casework and dedicated programmes and work closely with host communities to ensure that both resettled people and the communities they join are well supported.

We are seeking a Support Worker to provide resettlement support to people arriving in Stirling through established resettlement schemes and to people seeking asylum. The role is varied involving direct work with individuals and families from casework and home visits to helping people access services employment and education to ensure they have what they need to thrive in Stirling.

This is a temporary full-time post initially funded until 31 March 2027.

Preference will be given to candidates who speak a language common among the refugee community such as Dari or Ukrainian.

The post-holder will report to the Resettlement Team Leader.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children and Adults. If your application is progressed after the interview you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.
