Salary

• 12.71 - 13 ph dependent on experience and positions available

Working Hours

• 42 hours per week

Shifts patterns: we have a two-week shift pattern available consisting of one week 3 shifts next one 4 shifts

Working Pattern

• Week A Monday Tuesday Saturday Sunday 12-hour shifts
• Week B WednesdayThursdayFriday 12-hour shifts

Opportunity to complete either NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Social Care (through work based learning) and further progression opportunities

Shifts:

• Days 07.45am-8pm
• Waking Nights 19.45pm-8am

A support worker is a professional who is responsible for the wellbeing of people living with different physical abilities and mental health needs. Their role is to support clients to live their lives more independently and support them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support. About you:

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience of working with vulnerable people
• Experience of delivering structured support and risk management
• To be a team player with a caring and empathetic nature with a resilient can-do attitude able to work as part of a team
• An understanding of supporting vulnerable people this could include having your own lived experience of homelessness or drug or alcohol addiction.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet customer and business needs which may not include normal office hours and may include lone working
• Willingness to learn.
• You must be currently resident in the UK
• You must have the right to work in the UK no sponsorship provided
• Excellent communication skills.
• You must be friendly and well-organised with an excellent work ethic.

What are your duties as a Support Worker

Responsabilities include:

• Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents when required with all aspects of daily living
• Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs e.g. physical emotional and spiritual
• Provide supervision and attention when needed ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity
• Observe care planning needs for Residents and completed daily records as instructed
• Assist in framework of social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Centre
• Report on well-being of Residents
• Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents and Relatives e.g. wheelchairs hearing aids spectacles etc
