An excellent secondary school in Guildford is looking for a confident and experienced Safeguarding Officer to join its pastoral and safeguarding provision.
Working alongside the DSL and pastoral leaders youll play an important role in ensuring safeguarding concerns are dealt with promptly and records are maintained to a high standard.
Respond to safeguarding concerns and referrals
Maintain safeguarding records and chronologies
Monitor actions and follow up outstanding concerns
Support the DSL with child protection processes
Liaise with parents social care and other agencies
Attend safeguarding meetings where required
Provide guidance to staff on safeguarding procedures
Youll have previous school safeguarding or child protection experience and a strong understanding of safeguarding practice.
Excellent organisation communication and record-keeping skills are essential along with the ability to remain professional when dealing with sensitive cases.
