House & Garden is looking for an organised creative and proactive Style Assistant to join its Style team supporting the Style Director across editorial shoots production and the wider day-to-day running of the department.
Working closely with the Style Director and wider editorial team the Style Assistant will play a hands-on role in bringing shoots to life from initial research and preparation through to shoot day returns and final credits. The role will suit someone with a strong interest in interiors design and visual storytelling who enjoys the practical and logistical side of editorial production.
Assist the Style Director and wider team with the planning preparation and execution of editorial shoots.
Support the Style Director with shoot production including sourcing calling in receiving tracking and returning products props samples and styling materials ensuring all items are accounted for.
Liaise with PRs brands designers photographers stylists suppliers and contributors to arrange product loans and shoot requirements.
Coordinate the collection delivery and return of products working closely with Conde Nast Logistics couriers and suppliers.
Manage invoicing and related documentation ensuring costs and paperwork are accurate.
Assist on set with styling product preparation set organisation and general shoot-day requirements anticipating the needs of the Style Director and creative team.
Prepare and maintain product credits in the House & Garden format ensuring information is accurate and complete.
Upload images image-use agreements and relevant production information into internal content-planning systems.
Assist with researching and sourcing products interiors designers makers and visual references for editorial features and shoots.
Help organise and maintain the Style samples prop boxes tool kits and wider Style workspace.
Maintain the Style diary recording shoots meetings events appointments and invitations.
Attend industry events and support the team in maintaining strong relationships across the interiors and design community.
Previous experience in styling shoot or editorial production.
Experience supporting photoshoots including product call-ins collections and returns.
Strong production logistics and organisational skills.
Confident managing invoices costs and production administration.
Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with PRs brands suppliers photographers and creatives.
Highly organised detail-focused and calm under pressure.
Proactive team player with the ability to take direction and anticipate needs.
Strong interest in interiors design craft and visual culture.
Good research skills and a strong eye for products and imagery.
Craft skills such as sewing drawing painting or prop making are welcomed.
