Street Scene Operative

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in South Staffordshire to assist with the appointment of a Street Scene Operative on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 13.05 - 17.50 per hour

Summary:

The Street Scene Operative will support the Fleet and Street Scene team in maintaining clean safe and well-presented public spaces across the borough. This is an urgent requirement with an immediate start involving outdoor operational duties and depot-based working.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out street cleansing and environmental maintenance duties.
• Support waste litter and public realm operations as directed.
• Load unload and transport equipment and materials where required.
• Operate safely in outdoor environments and public spaces.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work effectively as part of the Street Scene team to meet daily operational targets.
• Report hazards defects or issues encountered during duties.

Essentials:

• Full UK Driving Licence with C1 entitlement (mandatory).
• Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work.
• Reliable punctual and able to work early morning starts.
• Good awareness of health and safety practices.
• Previous experience in street scene cleansing waste environmental services or similar operational work
