Job Summary
What youll do
- Receive all incoming deliveries and verify accuracy of orders against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods upon arrival for quantity quality and condition; report and document any discrepancies damages or shortages.
- Properly store all food beverage and general supplies in designated storage areas ensuring compliance with FIFO (First In First Out) and food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storerooms refrigerators and freezers.
- Accurately log received items into inventory systems and coordinate with Purchasing and Accounts Payable regarding receipts and invoices.
- Issue requested items to departments according to approved requisitions and ensure accurate documentation of outgoing inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with regular inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Ensure all goods are stored in appropriate conditions (temperature humidity cleanliness) and are secured against loss or theft.
- Coordinate with suppliers delivery personnel and department heads to ensure timely delivery and distribution of goods.
- Follow all hotel and departmental procedures related to receiving storage issuance and inventory control.
- Maintain records of receipts stock levels and goods issued in accordance with audit and internal control requirements.
- Report any inventory discrepancies spoilage or expired goods to the Assistant/Director of Finance immediately.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts safely and efficiently.
- Assist with end-of-month inventory procedures and prepare reports as requested.
Qualifications :
What were looking for
- Minimum 12 years of experience in receiving storeroom or warehouse operations preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Basic knowledge of hotel department supply needs
- Familiarity with inventory systems and procurement software (e.g. BirchStreet Adaco) preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent attention to detail organization and ability to accurately count record and reconcile inventory.
- Must be observant and able to respond quickly to discrepancies or supply issues.
- Understanding of safety and sanitation standards related to food and supply storage.
- Basic understanding of internal control practices and inventory documentation procedures.
- Ensure manual handling policies and procedures are adhered to
