Sports Assistant Buyer

Job Title: Assistant BuyerReports To: Senior BuyerMain Function: To support and assist the Buyers in delivering the business strategy for our note applicants must have experience or be actively working as an Assistant Buyer. This position will sit in our Sports branded team so experience with relevant brands is DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITESSupport and assist the Buyers in delivering the Buying strategy for the BusinessWorking closely with the Merchandising team and with guidance of BM/Buyer to manage and deliver the strategy for their departmentEnsuring that their department ranges are bought and delivered in time with the Buying Critical Path and within OTB requirementsWorking closely with the merchandising team to achieve target intake margins/sales and profit plan with the direction from BM/BuyerUsing sales and performance information to suggest areas for maximizing all sales opportunitiesSupporting the BM/Buyer; to help build a commercially viable product range that reflects the schuh brand image and current trendsUnderstands market with strong competitor awarenessSuppliersManage supplier critical path to ensure deliveries are on timeSupport the strategic direction of the partnership with all suppliersTeam Managing and supporting BAAs on the team Wider BusinessAmbassador for the Buying team working closely withRetail/Marketing/Ecommerce/Merchandising building strong relations with all stake holdersMiscellaneousSupporting the Buyers/Buying Manager/HOB/Buying Director in any other areas requiredEnsure all communication adheres to the GDPR policiesWork with own initiative and as part of the wider teamUnderstand and comply with the Companys Health & Safety policy & proceduresCarry out any other duties as required by Company managementSupporting the company vision which isSame but different.
