We are seeking a Specialist Corporate Physical Security Governance & Compliance to support the governance coordination compliance and operational resilience activities of the enterprise physical security program. This role acts as a central coordination point for the CPS function helping ensure governance activities administrative processes audit obligations reporting routines and program practices are organized maintained and consistently followed across the team.
Working within Corporate Physical Security Operations Governance & Technology you will help ensure alignment with ISO 27001 OSFI Guideline E-21 and internal risk management requirements. Through governance reviews control assessments audit coordination and engagement with second-line risk physical security and compliance functions you will help strengthen control effectiveness operational resilience and regulatory readiness across the organization.
While the role focuses on governance risk compliance and operational resilience it also supports the ongoing maturity and coordination of the Corporate Physical Security program. This includes helping maintain program documentation action tracking governance materials issue logs audit evidence business practices and cross-pillar routines that keep the CPS function aligned and operating effectively. The role will also provide cross-functional support to physical security operations emergency management workforce safety risk intelligence technology and other strategic initiatives.
Reporting to the Manager Security Operations Governance & Technology you will work closely with business risk audit technology and CPS pillar leads to support effective coordination identify gaps monitor remediation activities maintain governance records and drive continuous improvement in physical security governance and business practices.
What You Will Do
- Maintain and enhance physical security governance frameworks policies standards procedures decision records and program documentation to support regulatory compliance audit readiness and effective risk management.
- Coordinate CPS governance routines across program pillars including meeting materials action items issue logs decision tracking follow-ups and leadership reporting requirements.
- Support consistent business practices across CPS by helping maintain intake processes documentation standards reporting templates governance calendars and internal program structures.
- Lead ISO 27001 compliance and audit readiness activities including control reviews evidence management audit support and corrective action management.
- Coordinate internal audit regulatory and assurance activities including evidence collection issue management remediation tracking and stakeholder engagement.
- Conduct control assessments compliance reviews and gap analyses to evaluate control effectiveness and regulatory alignment.
- Lead the tracking and reporting of audit findings control deficiencies and remediation activities through to closure.
- Develop governance reporting metrics dashboards and key risk indicators to support leadership oversight of compliance risk controls and resilience.
- Maintain centralized tracking of CPS governance administrative audit and compliance activities to ensure commitments evidence approvals issues and remediation actions are visible and managed through to completion.
- Lead and participate in facility security assessments site reviews audits and facility threat risk assessments (FTRA) to evaluate control effectiveness and support continuous improvement across the Corporate Physical Security portfolio.
- Support the development and maturity of operational resilience capabilities including governance control oversight and alignment with OSFI Guideline E-21 requirements.
- Partner with second-line risk and compliance teams to identify document and strengthen security controls risk management practices and resilience capabilities.
- Support risk assessments control testing and assurance activities to evaluate and improve control effectiveness across the security program.
- Partner with business risk compliance and technology teams to strengthen governance and accountability.
- Prepare and coordinate governance reporting briefing materials dashboards and presentation content for leadership reviews governance committees audit activities and internal CPS operating routines.
- Identify and support opportunities to use technology automation AI-enabled tools and digital workflows to improve governance tracking reporting documentation management and overall CPS program efficiency.
- Experience supporting ISO 27001 governance certification control assessments or audit activities.
- Knowledge of OSFI Guideline E-21 and operational resilience principles within a regulated environment.
- Experience developing governance reporting executive dashboards documentation for senior leadership and risk committees.
- Experience conducting control assessments compliance reviews risk assessments or assurance activities.
- Experience supporting audit regulatory or issue remediation programs.
- Understanding of governance frameworks risk management practices and three-lines-of-defense models.
- Strong program coordination skills with the ability to organize multiple workstreams maintain tracking tools follow up on commitments and keep governance activities moving.
- Experience supporting leadership teams through meeting coordination action tracking reporting preparation documentation management or program administration.
- Comfortable using newer technology automation AI-enabled tools dashboards and collaborative platforms to improve organization reporting documentation and workflow efficiency.
- Strong analytical communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business guidance.
- Ability to travel periodically to support audits assessments site reviews and other Corporate Physical Security activities.
- Experience supporting ISO 27001 certification or surveillance audits.
- Experience with OSFI E-21 operational resilience or enterprise risk management programs.
- Experience performing second-line governance or assurance functions.
- Experience in financial services insurance or another regulated industry.
- Experience using Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools.
- Professional certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor ISO 27001 Lead Implementer CRISC CISA CGRC or CISSP.
This role serves as a key governance coordination and assurance function within Corporate Physical Security. By keeping governance records audit evidence reporting routines action tracking and cross-pillar business practices organized and consistent you will help the CPS program operate with stronger discipline clearer accountability and improved readiness for regulatory audit and business expectations.

The base salary for this position is between $75600 - $125600 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus commission etc).
