Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) leading whole-school SEND strategy and provision
Full-time permanent leadership position September start
Our client is seeking an articulate detail-oriented SENCo to join their Senior Leadership Team (SLT) from September. Serving as the primary advocate for pupils with additional learning needs neurodiverse conditions (such as ASD and ADHD) and physical disabilities you will oversee the strategic development and operational running of the inclusion department.
Your key duties will include managing statutory Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) applications organizing comprehensive annual reviews designing targeted academic and executive-functioning interventions and maintaining an audit-ready SEND register in strict alignment with national guidelines. Additionally you will line-manage a dedicated team of Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) and Teaching Assistants deliver whole-school CPD on adaptive quality-first teaching and collaborate closely with external specialists educational psychologists and local authority SEN teams.

Qualifications & Criteria
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) alongside the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo or NPQ SENCo)

Proven track record of leading targeted interventions conducting diagnostic assessments and managing support staff
Exceptional communication reporting and multi-agency liaison capabilities
