Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) leading whole-school SEND strategy and provision
Full-time permanent leadership position September start
Our client is seeking an articulate detail-oriented SENCo to join their Senior Leadership Team (SLT) from September. Serving as the primary advocate for pupils with additional learning needs neurodiverse profiles and physical disabilities you will lead the strategic direction and operational management of the learning support department.
Your core duties will include managing statutory Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) applications conducting comprehensive annual reviews designing targeted academic and nurture intervention programs and maintaining an audit-ready SEND register in strict accordance with the national SEND Code of Practice. Additionally you will line-manage a dedicated team of Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) and Teaching Assistants deliver whole-school CPD on adaptive quality-first teaching and collaborate closely with external specialists educational psychologists and local authority SEN teams.

Qualifications & Criteria
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) alongside the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo or NPQ SENCo)
Extensive knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice EHCP applications and statutory review frameworks
Proven track record of leading targeted interventions conducting diagnostic assessments and line-managing support staff
Exceptional communication reporting and multi-agency liaison capabilities
