Our client is seeking an articulate highly organized SENCo to join their Senior Leadership Team from September. Serving as the schools strategic inclusion lead you will take direct responsibility for maintaining developing and auditing the schools special educational needs and disability provision.

Your core duties will include managing statutory Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes leading annual reviews designing targeted academic and emotional regulation interventions and maintaining an immaculate SEND register in line with national guidelines. You will also line-manage a dedicated team of Learning Support Assistants deliver internal staff CPD on adaptive quality-first teaching and collaborate closely with speech and language therapists occupational health teams and local authority inclusion officers.

Qualifications & Criteria

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) alongside the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo or NPQ SENCo)

  • Extensive knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice EHCP applications and early intervention frameworks

  • Demonstrated track record of line-managing support staff conducting diagnostic assessments and designing adaptive learning plans

  • Exceptional interpersonal report-writing and multi-agency liaison capabilities
