About the Role

Ampersand Therapy is hiring an Affective Needs (AN) Teacher to support students in Brighton this role youll provide individualized academic behavioral and social-emotional support to students in a structured educational setting. Youll help create a safe supportive classroom environment while partnering with school teams to support student growth and success.

This is a meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact with students who benefit from additional emotional and behavioral support while working alongside a collaborative district team and a supportive therapist-run company.

What Youll Do

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student behavioral emotional and academic needs
• Provide specialized instruction and behavioral support in an Affective Needs setting
• Create a structured supportive classroom environment that promotes emotional regulation and learning
• Implement behavior supports and collaborate on intervention strategies
• Collaborate with general education teachers specialists school psychologists social workers and families
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction and supports accordingly
• Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation
• Support students in building coping self-regulation communication and social-emotional skills

What Were Looking For

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Experience supporting students with behavioral emotional or affective needs preferred
• Strong classroom management de-escalation collaboration and relationship-building skills
• School-based experience preferred but not required
