A well-established secondary school in Exeter is seeking to appoint a Spanish Teacher to join its Modern Foreign Languages department from September. This is a full-time role within a supportive and ambitious school that values languages cultural understanding and high-quality teaching.

Spanish is a highly regarded subject within the school with students encouraged to develop confidence in speaking listening reading and writing while gaining an appreciation of Spanish-speaking cultures around the world.

You will teach Spanish across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that build confidence fluency and strong language skills.

Students will study grammar vocabulary translation literature cultural topics and conversational Spanish while developing communication skills and intercultural awareness.

You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Spanish examinations supporting them in developing strong speaking writing and comprehension skills.

You may also contribute to wider MFL enrichment activities such as language clubs cultural events and trips.

• Teach Spanish across KS3 KS4 and KS5

• Assess student work and provide clear constructive feedback

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Spanish at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

• Strong subject knowledge in Spanish

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level Spanish

• Ability to teach an additional language

• Experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations

• Ability to contribute to language enrichment activities
