You will teach Spanish across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 delivering lessons that develop students speaking listening reading and writing skills.

The KS3 curriculum will provide students with a secure foundation in vocabulary grammar and pronunciation while KS4 teaching will prepare pupils for GCSE examinations. You will help students develop their ability to communicate confidently across familiar and unfamiliar topics.

The successful candidate will use a varied approach to teaching incorporating conversation listening activities written tasks authentic resources and cultural material. You should be able to make language learning accessible to students who may have different levels of confidence.

Regular assessment will be important allowing you to identify areas for improvement and provide targeted support. You will also contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities.

Spanish Teacher - Experience and Qualifications

• Spanish Degree

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification

• Secondary Spanish teaching experience

• Strong knowledge of Spanish grammar

• Ability to develop students speaking confidence
