A mixed secondary school in Brighton is seeking to appoint a Spanish Teacher to join its Modern Foreign Languages department from September. This is a full-time role within a supportive and inclusive school that values cultural awareness communication skills and high-quality teaching.

Spanish is a popular subject within the school with students encouraged to develop confidence in speaking listening reading and writing while gaining an appreciation of Spanish-speaking cultures.

You will teach Spanish across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering engaging lessons that develop students communication skills and linguistic confidence.

Students will build vocabulary grammar pronunciation translation and conversational fluency through a range of interactive and structured learning activities.

You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Spanish examinations supporting them in developing strong language skills cultural awareness and exam confidence.

You will work collaboratively within a successful MFL department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

• Teach Spanish across KS3 KS4 and KS5

• Deliver engaging lessons in speaking listening reading and writing

• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Spanish examinations

• Assess student work and provide clear constructive feedback

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records

• Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development

• Promote cultural awareness and language enrichment opportunities

• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Spanish at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

• Strong subject knowledge in Spanish

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level Spanish

• Ability to teach an additional language such as French or German

• Experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
