An ambitious oversubscribed 11-18 academy in Birmingham is seeking a full-time Spanish Teacher to join its expanding Modern Foreign Languages department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a linguist who wants to work with motivated students in one of Birminghams most popular and highly regarded secondary schools.

The successful candidate will teach Spanish across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (AQA) with the possibility of contributing to A-level Spanish for the right candidate. The department has recently introduced a new KS3 curriculum designed to build genuine communicative confidence and you will play a key part in bringing this to life in your classroom. Responsibilities also include contributing to the schools cultural enrichment programme supporting the annual Spanish cultural day and helping to maintain strong GCSE outcomes through well-targeted exam preparation strategies.

Requirements

• Degree in Spanish and QTS; fluency in Spanish essential

• Strong subject knowledge across KS34; A-level experience desirable

• Confidence teaching in a busy urban secondary school environment

• Enthusiasm for cultural enrichment and engaging communicative language teaching

• Good IT skills including use of digital language-learning tools
