Spanish Teacher – Academy, Leicestershire

A growing academy in Leicestershire is seeking an enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to join its Languages department from September. This full-time role is ideal for a teacher who wants to help shape and grow the schools language provision.

About the Role You will teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4 with the possibility of contributing to a developing KS5 offer. Lessons focus on practical communication cultural understanding and building students confidence in using the language.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4

• Prepare students for GCSE Spanish examinations

• Plan lessons that build speaking listening reading and writing skills

• Use a variety of resources to bring Hispanic culture into the classroom

• Track student progress and provide regular feedback

• Support whole-school language or cultural awareness events

Candidate Requirements

Essential

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Fluency in Spanish and confidence teaching across KS3 and KS4

• Experience teaching Spanish at secondary level

• Strong classroom management skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level Spanish

• Ability to teach a second language (e.g. French)

• Interest in helping develop the languages curriculum
