Were looking for an experienced Sous Chef with a background in a nursing home or similar environment. Youll have a strong understanding of nutrition hydration specialist diets and food safety alongside a passion for delivering high-quality meals that enhance residents quality of life.

What Were Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef Senior Chef Care Home Chef or similar role
  • Experience working within a nursing home care home healthcare setting or comparable environment
  • Strong understanding of nutrition and hydration for older adults
  • Experience catering for specialist diets allergies and dietary requirements
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene temperature control and food safety regulations
  • Ability to prepare fresh high-quality meals to a consistently high standard
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a busy kitchen environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen alongside the Head Chef
  • Prepare and cook nutritious high-quality meals for residents
  • Deliver a premium dining experience that promotes choice dignity and enjoyment
  • Cater for a variety of dietary requirements allergies and specialist nutritional needs
  • Ensure food is prepared presented and served to the highest standards
  • Maintain accurate food safety and temperature records
  • Support stock control ordering and waste management
  • Ensure compliance with all food hygiene and health & safety regulations
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal dining experiences
