Sourcing Analyst

About the role

Were looking for a Sourcing Analyst to play a key role in shaping how our national supply network operates (hybrid working). This is a highly commercial datadriven position where your insight will directly influence profitability efficiency and customer service across multiple manufacturing sites and distribution points.

Working within the national Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) framework youll analyse production capacity transport costs product specifications and customer requirements to identify the most costeffective source of a role that sits at the heart of the business partnering closely with commercial operations and supply chain teams to ensure smart balanced decisions that deliver measurable financial impact.

What Youll Be Doing

In this role youll be responsible for optimising supply source decisions across the national network ensuring the right product is delivered from the right place at the right cost.

Youll analyse customer orders and supply options balancing production costs transportation expense capacity constraints and service requirements todeterminethe most economical solution.A key part of the role involves maintaining and refining the Sourcing model including cost and revenueanalysis reason code tracking and monitoring nonoptimal or crossborder deliveries.

Youll regularly review production capacity and network footprint identifying constraints and opportunities and making recommendations to improve utilisation and this youll produce weekly and monthly reports that highlight performance trends compliance with optimal supply decisions and opportunities to improve margin.

Youll work closely with commercial operations logistics and planning teams to investigate deviations from optimal supply quantify financial impact and drive practical also contribute to the monthly S&OP process providinganalysis insight and clear recommendations tosupporteffectivedecisionmaking.

As part of a continuous improvement mindset youllsupportthe development of dashboards and analytical tools using platforms such as Power BI and Anaplan helping to increase visibility strengthen governance and improve supply chaindecisionmaking.

What Were Looking For

Were looking for someone who is naturally analytical commercially aware and comfortable working with be curious detailfocused and motivated by solving optimisation problems using data and insight.

Youll bring experience in supply chain planning operationsanalysis businessanalysisor a similar analytical role with a strong track record of working with data building reports andsupportingbusiness Excel skills are essential and experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is highly beneficial. Familiarity with ERP or planning systems such as SAP or Anaplan will be an advantage.

Youllunderstandhow supply decisions impact cost service and margin and be able to translateanalysisinto clear practical communication skills are essential as youll be working with a range of stakeholders and presenting insight to both operational and senior audiences.

A degree in a relevant analytical discipline such as supply chain operations engineering business data analytics or mathematics is essential with professional or processimprovement qualifications considered a all youll becollaborative resilient adaptable and keen to continuously learn and improve how things are done.
