Software Development Engineer, ADSP

As a software engineer in the Targeting organization youll be at the forefront of building privacy-safe solutions that make ads more relevant for shoppers and more effective for advertisers. Were building new functionality that simplifies how advertisers set up campaigns in a policy and regulatory compliant way. Youll own the end-to-end customer experience contributing to product direction while building the APIs services data models and user interfaces that bring it to life.

Key job responsibilities
You will work as part of an Agile team at our development centre in Edinburgh Scotland launching and growing new initiatives for Amazons global websites.

Your team will own the business technology and operations giving you the responsibility and authority to ensure success.

You will be involved in every aspect of the process - from idea generation business analysis and technical design through to software development across a variety of technologies.

Your systems will meet remarkably high standards of performance and reliability and will operate at massive scale 24x7.

- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience in professional non-internship software development
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java C or C# including object-oriented design

- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations
