Social Worker Education and Wellbeing

As a Social Worker you will play a vital role in safeguarding and improving outcomes for children young people and families. Working within Childrens Services you will assess needs manage risk and deliver effective interventions that promote safety stability and positive long-term outcomes. You will build strong relationships with children families and partner agencies ensuring that children receive the right support at the right time while contributing to the continuous improvement of services across the borough.

• Manage a caseload of children young people and families ensuring assessments plans and interventions are completed in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
  
• Undertake child and family assessments identifying strengths risks and support needs to inform effective care planning.
  
• Develop implement and review child-centred plans that promote positive outcomes and safeguard children from harm.
  
• Build and maintain effective relationships with children young people families carers and partner agencies.
  
• Participate in child protection investigations strategy discussions case conferences and court proceedings where required.
  
• Prepare clear accurate and timely reports assessments and case records in accordance with legislative and organisational standards.
  
• Work collaboratively with education health police and other professionals to deliver coordinated support and achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
  
• Support children to remain safely within their families wherever possible or identify and secure suitable alternative care arrangements when necessary.
  
• Promote the voice of the child ensuring children and young people are actively involved in decisions affecting their lives.
  
• Maintain professional standards and contribute to service development learning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  

• Qualified Social Worker holding a recognised Social Work qualification.
  
• Current registration with Social Work England.
  
• Knowledge of relevant legislation guidance and statutory frameworks relating to children and families.
  
• Experience of undertaking assessments care planning and safeguarding interventions.
  
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with children families and professionals.
  
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise competing demands effectively.
  
• Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children young people and families.
  
• Excellent written analytical and decision-making skills.
  

• Experience working within Childrens Social Care services.
  
• Experience of court work child protection or looked after children services.
  
• Knowledge of local authority childrens services and multi-agency working arrangements.
  
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
  

• Location: Knowsley (Hybrid Working attendance at the office 23 days per week required)
  
• Hours per Week: Flexible working options available including full-time part-time condensed hours and reduced hours
  
• Payment: Bi-Weekly Payments Available
  
• Salary: 42839.00 Per Annum
