Social Worker Children with Disabilities

We are currently recruiting for our client for an experienced Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in West Essex on a locum basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and supportive service dedicated to improving outcomes for children and young people with disabilities and their families. Youll work as part of a multi-disciplinary team undertaking statutory social work responsibilities and delivering high-quality interventions that promote independence wellbeing and positive outcomes.

What will your responsibilities be

• Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities completing assessments reviews and care planning.
• Undertake Child in Need Child Protection and Looked After Children work where required.
• Build effective relationships with children young people families and partner agencies.
• Complete robust assessments and produce high-quality reports and case recordings.
• Develop and implement outcome-focused care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings reviews and strategy discussions.
• Work in partnership with education health and other professionals to provide coordinated support.
• Ensure all practice is in line with current legislation statutory guidance and safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have;

• Social Work qualification (Degree CQSW DipSW or equivalent).
• Registration withSocial Work England.
• Minimum3 years post-qualified social work experience.
• Previous experience working within aChildren with Disabilitiesor Childrens Services team.
• Strong assessment safeguarding and care planning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using electronic case management systems.
• Ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a team environment.
