Social Worker Children with Disabilities
Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for our client for an experienced Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in West Essex on a locum basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and supportive service dedicated to improving outcomes for children and young people with disabilities and their families. Youll work as part of a multi-disciplinary team undertaking statutory social work responsibilities and delivering high-quality interventions that promote independence wellbeing and positive outcomes.
What will your responsibilities be
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities completing assessments reviews and care planning.
- Undertake Child in Need Child Protection and Looked After Children work where required.
- Build effective relationships with children young people families and partner agencies.
- Complete robust assessments and produce high-quality reports and case recordings.
- Develop and implement outcome-focused care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings reviews and strategy discussions.
- Work in partnership with education health and other professionals to provide coordinated support.
- Ensure all practice is in line with current legislation statutory guidance and safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have;
- Social Work qualification (Degree CQSW DipSW or equivalent).
- Registration withSocial Work England.
- Minimum3 years post-qualified social work experience.
- Previous experience working within aChildren with Disabilitiesor Childrens Services team.
- Strong assessment safeguarding and care planning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using electronic case management systems.
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a team environment.
