Job Summary
Liquid Personnel is recruiting aChildrens Social Worker to join its clients Assessment & Intervention team based in Gateshead.
We are a dynamic and supportive team dedicated to safeguarding children and promoting positive outcomes for families across the borough.
As a Social Worker within the Assessment & Intervention Team you will play a key role in undertaking assessments identifying risks and delivering timely interventions to support children and their families. Working within a fast-paced environment you will collaborate with partner agencies to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.
What will your responsibilities be
- Deliver a high-quality statutory social work service in accordance with legislation statutory guidance and Gateshead Council policies.
- Undertake child and family assessments including Child and Family Assessments Section 47 enquiries and risk assessments.
- Develop and implement child-centred plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
- Work directly with children and families building effective relationships to support positive change.
- Manage a varied caseload and ensure timely interventions are delivered in accordance with service expectations.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies including education health police and other professionals.
- Prepare court statements reports and assessments as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with professional standards and statutory requirements.
- Participate in regular supervision team meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have;
- Social Work England registration.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Social Work.
- Post-qualified experience within Childrens Services.
- Experience completing assessments and managing child protection and safeguarding cases.
- Strong communication assessment and analytical skills.
