What Youll Be Doing
As a Tier 3 Security Analyst youll play a pivotal role in protecting customer environments by:
- Developing innovative methods to detect threats and uncover anomalous behaviour.
- Leading complex security investigations and coordinating response activities during incidents.
- Driving proactive threat hunting activities across customer environments.
- Producing actionable cyber threat intelligence and sharing key findings with stakeholders.
- Acting as the technical escalation point for security incidents.
- Engineering and enhancing detection content using Elastic Stack and related technologies.
- Presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Supporting mentoring and developing SOC team members.
- Contributing to internal cyber security forums and customer workgroups.
- Participating in an on-call rota and occasional travel to customer locations.
What Were Looking For
Were seeking passionate cyber security professionals with experience in:
- Security Operations Centre (SOC) environments.
- Cyber threat detection and incident response.
- Networking fundamentals including protocols traffic flows and IP addressing.
- Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Threat actor tactics techniques and procedures (TTPs).
- Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and Indicators of Attack (IOAs).
- Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI).
- Elastic Stack or other SIEM technologies.
- Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) methodologies.
- Communicating technical information clearly to varied audiences.
- Coaching mentoring or supporting less experienced analysts.
Desirable Experience
- CompTIA Security SecurityX CISSP CISM or similar certifications.
- Experience working within highly secure or government environments.
- Advanced SIEM engineering and detection content experience.
