90 to 120 RSDs per year / total are available for the right candidate to conduct the role with scope to extend past 31 Mar 28

Unit Function:

The Integrated Warfare Centre is responsible for enabling the Joint Force to operate integrate innovate develop and adapt to become the Integrated Force of tomorrow in response to the changing character of conflict. It achieves this through the analysis of lessons insights and observations from operations and training and the experimentation exercising and exploitation of concepts and technologies across all domains.

Position Role:

This is a superb opportunity for an experienced and motivated OF4 to join the Joint Operations Planning Course (JOPC) instructor team and deliver training at the operational level at home and abroad specialising in J5/J35 in Joint and Integrated operations. SO1 JOPC Delivery C will have the opportunity to deploy to locations around the world for up to 40 days a year to deliver this high-level course. The successful candidate will have a background of operational planning in a Joint HQ to enable credible delivery of the JOPC and to share relevant experiences with the training audience.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver IWC-sponsored operational level planning training across Defence including the Joint Operations Planning Course.
• Deliver MoD SPO-directed overseas Defence Engagement focused operations planning training.
• Advise coach and mentor high readiness HQs (PJHQ SJFHQ Gp sS HQs) in all planning activities.
• Deliver bespoke operations planning training to other audiences including cross-Government.
• Liaise with current practitioners and support current operations planning particularly the Defence Academy.
• Enable the Joint Force to operate effectively now and in the future.
• Train the Joint Force in support of real-world operations.
• Support the delivery of Defence Tier 3 exercises as required within capacity.
