Job Summary
Subject to formal establishment Joint Boarding process and sS Policies a vacancy will arise for an OF4 to serve asSO1 International Experimentation Exploitationat the Integrated Warfare Centre Northwood on ADC/VeRR/PTVR/VTOD Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 1 Jan 27 (or earlier/later subject to formal establishment and candidate status).
Up to 45 RSDs per year / total are available for the right candidate to conduct the role.
Unit Function:
The Integrated Warfare Centres purpose is to enable the current Joint Force to operate integrate innovate develop and adapt. It sits into the HQ Higher Level Budget of CSOC as Top Level Budget. It provides focused and responsive support for MOD and NATO Joint Commanders against now and next operational priorities and opportunities. To do this effectively it drives more coherent informed and efficient optimisation and adaptation of the Whole Force through close working engagement with the domain Warfare Centres.
Position Role:
Delivery of International Experimentation Exploitation at the heart of UK Force Development activity during a time of a maturing sovereign and FVEY Combined Communications and Electronics requirement. The outputs are essential to support UKs Defence (Level 3) and Integrated (Level 2) level Force Development through the coherence of experimentation opportunities.
Responsibilities include the coherence of international experimentation in support of AH International Experimentation. The position will lead on UK International Experimentation Exploitation across our current portfolio of activities. It will be responsible for analysing the connections between experimentation objectives and UK defence objectives. This role will require strong working with allies and partners and with other elements of the MoD. The post-holder will receive exposure to senior decision makers across Defence while undertaking this work.
This position will support other AH Pillars (Wargaming Lessons & Eval) across IWC when required.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the tracking and discussions of international experimentation exploitation for BOLD QUEST CWIX and other experimentation activity. |
2. Analyse and develop the connections between experimentation objectives and UK Defence objectives. |
3. Work to AH International DEW to influence and shape the experiment design and planning to enable MODs effective exploitation of these activities. |
4. Support integration between different international experimentation event series for UK Defence. |
5. Support UK contribution to FVEY Combined Comms and Electronics Working Group |
