Job Summary

Subject to formal establishment 3 Vacancies will arise for a OR6 to OR8 to serve as SNCO IC Cyber Direct Entry Training & Development at Defence Cyber Academy/Defence Academy/Shrivenham on Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) to be agreed with applicant with an initial proposed start date of 24 Septemer 2026.

Unit Role.

DI Cyber Jt User Personnel and Training team is to develop and deliver a sustainable Cyber Profession across Defence.
Lead on individual Cyber training requirements as the delegated Training Requirements Authority.
In-line with Unified Career Management (UCM)-Cyber undertake Branch Management activity to develop and grow a sustainable Cyber Operator structure.

Job Role.

The day-to-day administration support and discipline of tri-Service Cyber Phase 2 trainees.
Work with DCA staff to ensure delivery of effective training. Design plan and execute up to 4 weeks of non-technical education and training.
Role-model and develop Service values standards and behaviours.

Responsibilities.

The supervision management and discipline of the tri-Service Cyber Phase 2 trainees including their welfare and developmental needs.
Manage all course administration and documentation including joining instructions and contribute to course scheduling activities.
Design plan and execute up to 4 weeks of non-technical training (eg Force Development activity) to prepare trainees for productive service.
Monitor trainees technical and non-technical performance; behaviours; and standards; intervening early to correct and promote improvement.
Liaise to ensure provision of welfare and career support as required. Support transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2; and arrangements for postings.
Contribute to End-of-Course discussions Learning from Experience events and INVAL. Maintain and update local policies and procedures.
Act as 1RO compiling a Mid-Course Report and an End-of-Course Report. Role-model Service values standards and behaviours.
Promote an inclusive culture within area of responsibility working to increase understanding and engagement through education and initiative.
