We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Councils Economic Development team as a Sizewell C Tourism Fund Projects Manager.

The role:

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Project Manager to join the ambitious Sizewell C Tourism Fund programme at a pivotal stage of delivery. This is a fast-paced high-profile role supporting a multi-million-pound evidence-led programme designed to protect strengthen and grow East Suffolks visitor economy during the Sizewell C construction period.

Working as part of a collaborative one team approach across Economic Development you will play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of tourism initiatives across marketing and PR destination development grants and business support sector development and industry engagement. The programme is built on strong partnerships with organisations such as the Suffolk Coast DMO Visit Suffolk and local businesses and requires a proactive solutions-focused approach to stakeholder management.

You will lead on the development and delivery of projects within the agreed implementation plans including commissioning and contract management of suppliers supporting grant schemes and ensuring effective coordination across multiple workstreams. The role requires the ability to manage complexity and pace working across partners to ensure activity is aligned evidence-led and delivers measurable economic benefit to the visitor economy.

What you will need

You will have experience of delivering high-profile programmes and projects ideally but not essential within tourism place-based regeneration or economic development and a strong understanding of how national regional and local government frameworks shape and influence the visitor economy.

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) with excellent interpersonal communication and relationship management skills. You will be confident working with a wide range of stakeholdersfrom local tourism businesses to regional partners and elected membersand will bring the ability to influence negotiate and build strong effective partnerships.

Experience of managing multiple projects coordinating stakeholders and overseeing commissioned work or contracts is essential.
