Role Overview
A welcoming and vibrant primary school in the London Borough of Camden is seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Supervisor to manage the operational maintenance security and safety of the school campus. This is a full-time permanent position working year-round to ensure a safe clean and inspiring environment for pupils staff and visitors.
The post is suitable for an experienced site manager caretaker or handy person with a strong trade background or facilities experience who takes pride in keeping a school running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Premises Management: Oversee day-to-day site security unlocking/locking procedures heating systems health and safety compliance and routine statutory testing (e.g. fire alarms legionella emergency lighting).
Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out general DIY repairs painting and basic plumbing/carpentry while coordinating external contractors for larger maintenance projects.
Health & Safety: Maintain up-to-date health and safety records conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with COSHH and school policies.
Teamwork: Work closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager to manage premises budgets site improvements and cleaning teams.
Qualifications & Skills: Relevant trade skills or site management experience good understanding of Health & Safety regulations physical fitness and a clear Enhanced DBS check.
