Are you an experienced Site Supervisor who takes pride in maintaining a safe secure and well-presented school environment A busy Secondary School in Sunderland is looking for a practical dependable and proactive Site Supervisor to join its premises team on a full-time permanent basis.

The successful Site Supervisor will have responsibility for helping ensure the school buildings grounds and facilities remain safe functional and suitable for students and staff.

You will carry out regular checks around the site identify maintenance issues and ensure that problems are reported or addressed promptly. The role requires someone who is practical and willing to get involved with a variety of tasks rather than simply overseeing them.

You may be required to assist with minor repairs furniture movement room preparation deliveries and general site duties. You will also monitor the condition of buildings and grounds and escalate more significant maintenance requirements appropriately.

Health and safety will be a particularly important part of the role. You will need to follow school procedures report hazards and ensure that appropriate action is taken when issues arise.

The Site Supervisor will also assist with site security including opening and securing parts of the premises monitoring access and supporting the schools procedures for contractors and visitors.

  • Liaise with contractors and external suppliers.

  • Ensure contractors follow relevant site procedures.

  • Assist with inspections and compliance checks.

  • Maintain accurate records relating to maintenance and site issues.

  • Monitor the condition of outdoor areas.

  • Support waste management and general site presentation.

  • Respond to urgent facilities issues appropriately.

Site Supervisor - Experience and Requirements

  • Previous experience in site management facilities maintenance or a similar role.

  • Practical approach to problem solving.
