Working closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager you will take responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep of the school site ensuring all facilities remain safe compliant and ready to support high-quality teaching and learning. The successful candidate will enjoy working independently while also collaborating with contractors suppliers and the wider school team.

Premises Team

The Premises Team is responsible for ensuring the school site remains safe secure and well maintained throughout the year. As Site Supervisor you will coordinate the daily operation of the premises while supporting compliance maintenance and site improvement projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Opening and locking the school site each day.

  • Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs.

  • Conducting regular health and safety inspections.

  • Supervising contractors working on site.

  • Preparing classrooms and halls for school activities.

  • Maintaining playgrounds gardens and outdoor learning areas.

  • Monitoring heating lighting and security systems.

  • Reporting and coordinating larger maintenance works.

  • Maintaining statutory compliance records.

  • Supporting emergency procedures when required.

  • Managing deliveries and site access.

  • Ensuring the school remains safe clean and welcoming for all users.

The successful candidate will become an integral member of the schools support staff team helping maintain an environment where pupils and staff can flourish.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within site supervision caretaking or facilities management.

  • Good practical maintenance skills.
