Job Summary

A respected secondary school in Guildford is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the team from September 2026.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on professional who enjoys managing a busy school site and ensuring pupils and staff have a safe well-maintained environment in which to learn and work.

The Role

As Site Manager youll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the schools buildings and grounds ensuring the site is secure compliant and maintained to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the school premises

  • Carrying out planned maintenance and minor repairs

  • Supervising premises and cleaning staff

  • Coordinating contractors and overseeing maintenance projects

  • Ensuring health and safety compliance across the site

  • Opening and securing the school buildings

  • Managing site security and responding to maintenance requests

  • Supporting school events and lettings when required

The Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Site Manager Premises Manager Facilities Manager Estates Supervisor or Senior Caretaker.

The school is looking for someone with strong practical maintenance skills a good understanding of health and safety legislation and the ability to manage contractors and prioritise a varied workload. Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach are essential.
